HAZWOPER 8 Hour Emergency Response Refresher (8 TCH WWT )

This 8-hour refresher course satisfies the annual training requirements for emergency response personnel. Participants will review and practice techniques to control, contain, and clean up hazardous material spills, ensuring compliance with OSHA’s HAZWOPER standards.

• Review OSHA’s HAZWOPER standards and annual training requirements
• Understand chemical hazards and hazard communication protocols
• Learn toxicology basics and proper air monitoring techniques
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Decontamination:
• Proper use, maintenance, and limitations of PPE
• Decontamination procedures for personnel and equipment
• Fit testing and proper use of respiratory protection equipment
• Incident Command System (ICS) roles and responsibilities
• Site control and spill containment techniques
• Offensive actions during emergency response scenarios
• Hands-on training to apply learned skills in a controlled environment

Certificate of Completion in HAZWOPER 8 Hour Emergency Response RefresherProvides 8 Wastewater Treatment (WWT) TCHs if required

OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response - HAZWOPER)

Enrollment is open to individuals who have completed the 24-hour HAZWOPER training.This course includes a PowerPoint presentation, handouts, an exam, and a certificate upon completion.
