This training program equips responders with practical skills to manage hazardous material releases on waterways. Participants will learn defensive strategies for command, control, and containment to protect life, property, and the environment during hazardous material incidents.

- Covers strategies for effective spill containment, boom positioning, anchoring procedures, and coordinated response actions designed to minimize environmental and property damage.
- Reviews defensive command and control procedures used during hazardous material incidents, including incident coordination, communication, resource management, and operational safety planning.
- Explains hazardous material containment techniques used to reduce the impact of chemical releases and spills while addressing the behavior and movement of hazardous substances in marine environments.
