Course Description
This OSHA-authorized 10-hour training program provides entry-level construction workers with essential knowledge of workplace safety, their rights, and employer responsibilities. Participants will learn to identify, prevent, and address common construction site hazards while ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.

Introduction to OSHA and Workplace Safety Rights:
Explains worker rights and employer responsibilities under OSHA regulations, including procedures for reporting unsafe conditions, filing complaints, and promoting safe workplace practices. -
Construction Site Hazard Recognition and Prevention:
Covers the identification, evaluation, and mitigation of common construction site safety and health hazards while emphasizing hazard-specific training based on job roles and work activities. -
Fall Protection, Scaffolding, and Ladder Safety:
Reviews safe work practices related to fall prevention, ladder use, scaffolding operations, and the proper selection and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) on construction sites. -
Electrical Safety and Hazardous Energy Control:
Explains electrical safety principles, lockout/tagout procedures, hazard communication requirements, and chemical safety practices designed to reduce workplace injuries and exposures. -
Excavation, Trenching, and Equipment Safety:
Covers safe excavation and trenching procedures, protective systems, and the proper operation and maintenance of construction tools, machinery, and equipment. -
Fire Prevention and Emergency Preparedness:
Focuses on fire prevention strategies, emergency action plans, evacuation procedures, and workplace preparedness measures used to protect workers during emergencies. -
Hazard Prevention and Construction Site Safety Practices:
Reviews proactive safety strategies for identifying, controlling, and preventing job-related hazards while promoting safe work environments and injury prevention practices. -
OSHA Compliance and Recordkeeping:
Explains OSHA construction industry standards, documentation requirements, injury and illness recordkeeping practices, and the importance of maintaining regulatory compliance.
