Course Description
This half-day course provides essential training for employees tasked with recognizing and responding to chemical spills at the awareness level. Participants will learn to identify hazards, gather critical information, and implement their organization’s Emergency Response Plan in compliance with OSHA’s HAZWOPER regulations.
- Understand the regulatory framework of OSHA’s HAZWOPER program and its purpose in protecting workers at hazardous sites
- Learn site characterization techniques to assess potential hazards
- Recognize various workplace hazards and understand their associated risks
- Implement site control measures to ensure safety during emergency responses
- Gain awareness of the role and responsibilities of First Responder Awareness (FRA) Level I employees
