- Common hazards, including atmospheric, physical, and environmental risks

- Employer and employee responsibilities for confined space safety
- Pre-entry hazard assessments and atmospheric testing
- Completing and adhering to entry permits
- Roles and responsibilities of entrants, attendants, and entry supervisors
- Ventilation, isolation, and lockout/tagout procedures
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and rescue equipment
- Developing and implementing confined space rescue plans
