Course Description
This course provides a comprehensive overview of fire safety, focusing on fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and safe response techniques. Participants will learn about fire origins, classifications, and the proper use of fire extinguishers to protect lives and property.
- Understand the three elements of the fire triangle (heat, fuel, oxygen)
- Learn the four classes of fire (A, B, C, D) and their characteristics
- Explore fire prevention strategies to reduce risks in the workplace and home
- Develop fire emergency preparedness plans, including evacuation procedures
- Learn what to do in case of fire, including actions when trapped in smoke or heat
- Understand post-fire emergency steps to ensure safety and recovery
- Learn the multi-class ratings of fire extinguishers and their appropriate uses
- Master the P.A.S.S. method for fire extinguisher operation: Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep
