Course Description
This course provides a comprehensive understanding of Ebola virus disease (EVD) and other infectious diseases, focusing on transmission, symptoms, infection control measures, and outbreak management. Participants will learn how to protect themselves and others through proper precautions, vaccination, and global cooperation strategies.
- Understand the nature and global impact of Ebola virus disease (EVD)
- Learn how Ebola spreads through direct contact with blood, body fluids, or contaminated objects
- Recognize the symptoms and progression of Ebola, from early “”dry”” symptoms to severe “”wet”” symptoms
- Implement infection control measures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Explore FDA-approved vaccines (e.g., ERVEBO®) and treatments for Ebola virus
- Understand the importance of early detection, contact tracing, and outbreak management
